1. About these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Make.CV at make.cv and its CV-building features (the “Service”). References to “we” and “us” mean the team operating Make.CV. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using it.

You must be legally able to accept these terms. If you use the Service for an organization or another person, you must have permission to act on their behalf.

2. Using the Service and your account

Make.CV provides tools and templates to create, preview, save, and download CVs. The core CV builder is free to use. Some features, including saving a CV to an account or downloading a customized CV, may require you to sign in.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and activity under your account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the information and content you add to your CV. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the Service, such as saving your progress and generating your CV. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us.

Only submit information you have the right to use. You are responsible for reviewing your CV before sharing it, including checking its accuracy, formatting, and suitability for a particular application. Keep your own copy of important content and downloaded files.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

• Break the law, impersonate others, or commit fraud.
• Upload content that infringes someone else's rights or disclose personal information without permission.
• Introduce malicious code, disrupt the Service, or place an unreasonable load on its infrastructure.
• Access another user's account or data, or bypass authentication or other security controls.

5. Templates and website materials

Make.CV and its licensors retain rights to the Service's software, branding, designs, and templates. You may use the templates to create and share your own CVs, including for employment applications. These terms do not give you ownership of the underlying software or permission to redistribute the templates as a competing template library.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account information, CV content, browser storage, analytics, and advertising data when you use the Service.

7. Third-party services and links

The Service may include advertisements, links, or offers from other providers, including job-search services. Some links are affiliate links, which means we may receive a commission if you make a purchase through them. Using those services is optional and subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their content, prices, or availability.

8. Availability and limitations

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access to address misuse or security issues. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or permanent storage of your CV.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. Templates and writing guidance do not guarantee an interview, a job offer, or acceptance by any applicant tracking system.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits your mandatory consumer rights.

9. Ending use and changes to these terms

You may stop using Make.CV at any time. To request deletion of your account or stored CV data, contact us at the address below. The Privacy Policy explains retention and your data choices.

We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain agreement before material changes apply.
